How Many Chlorine Tablets For Pool

Before Use: This floater is designed for use only with HTH Brilliance Cal Hypo pool chlorine tablets. NEVER mix trichlor tablets with Cal Hypo tablets in this floater.

A 3-inch chlorine tablet can sanitize up to 5,000 gallons of water. So if you have a 20,000-gallon pool, you’ll want to use four 3-inch chlorine tablets.

To calculate the right number of tablets, round your pool volume up to the nearest 5,000 gallons. And if you have a smaller pool (under 10,000 gallons), consider using 1-inch chlorine tablets. It’s easy to over-chlorinate a smaller body of water.

 

Application Instructions

1. Rinse the chlorine floater thoroughly with water before each use.
2. Add one Cal Hypo chlorine tablet per 10,000 gallons of pool water, or refer to the tablet manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Close the floater securely and place it into the pool.
4. Run the pool pump for a minimum of eight hours daily.
5. Test pool water frequently and adjust the number of tablets as needed to maintain 1–4 ppm free available chlorine.

Important: Never mix trichlor tablets with Cal Hypo tablets in this floater.

 

Routine Maintenance
